What does “cutting myself off” mean to you? For us in Aj Ty v IT, it’s definitely the ability to not check your inbox and all communication channels on a regular basis.
The availability of technology and the fact that we really do have everything in our pocket – from documents, to various data – is great. On the other hand, it’s also a constant reminder that we have work to do. Every notification that pops up on the screen just screams out: “Have you sorted it yet?”
Cutting myself off and setting my mind to the fact that no one needs me to check my email every hour tends to be difficult. But the world really isn’t going to come crashing down.
We in Aj Ty v IT have been indulging in a Christmas digital detox for a few years now. Try it with us! If circumstances allow, use your phone only to capture memorable moments or call loved ones.
Or replace your phone with a pair of scissors and have a relaxing Christmas with us. Literally and figuratively. We’ll look forward to seeing photos of your creations and seeing you together in 2025, which we’ll be moving into thanks in part to your support.

First print our Christmas card on both sides, ideally on thicker matte paper. Cut out the logo and all the hearts and cut them out in the centre according to the template. Turn them over and fit them on top of each other in numerical sequence at the cutting point. Tadaaaaah, the Christmas tree is ready!
